Job Description
Key responsibilities:
o Serve as a member of local management team to plan & meet business unit objectives.
o Lead & develop HR staff to provide effective HR services (like HR admin – policy, payroll, staffing, T&D, employees relations & engagement, performance management, C&B, succession planning, etc.); plan & implement HR programs & activities to support business needs.
o Act as primary contact to relevant government agencies, meet relevant government requirements & inform higher management of new developments that will affect business operations.
o Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Key accountabilities:
o Meet or exceed yearly HR objectives within budget that are aligned to support business objectives.
o Comply or meet all legal requirements (eg. Manpower Act, mandatory contributions, etc.) & government reporting regulations affecting the HR function accurately & timely.
o Implement HR programs/activities effectively: meet staffing requirements timely; achieve agreed targets relating to staff development, staff engagement, workplace safety & health, etc.
o Attain/exceed implementation targets timely & within budget for assigned projects.
Skills:
o Language skills: bilingual – proficient in English & Bahasa Indonesia.
o Knowledge of local labour laws, immigration regulations, government & HR related agencies, vendors/consultants & Indonesia culture & customs.
o IT knowledge & skills: including payroll software, e-mail, work processing & spreadsheet programs, etc.
o Technical HR knowledge & skills in staffing, employees relations, T&D, performance management and C&B.
o Skills in leading, planning & organizing, delegating, coaching & counselling, establishing & maintaining effective working relations, developing HR policies/programs, analyzing & solving people issues, communicating effectively & influencing others to gain their support for HR programs/activities.
Experience:
o At least 5 years of HR managerial experience as a HR generalist.
o Strong experience in labour relations & possessed excellent working knowledge of local labour legislations is preferred.
o Experience in M&A activities is plus.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management / Psychology / Labour Laws or equivalent.
o Professional certification in related HR skills is a plus.
Seniority, age:
o With the HR experience needed, the candidates will generally be in their thirties.

It will take one hour from Batam island. Chartered aircrafts is also available and advance booking is recommended. Sultan Thaha airport is only a 10 minutes drive from the town center. Trading ships sail along Batang Hari river to Boom Batu, Jambi's riverport, one of the busiest parts in Sumatra. To see more of the land, bus riding is an interesting experience. It is 4 hours drive from Palembang and 8 hours drive from Padang.
